Terms of sale and use
Last updated: November 2026
These terms apply to the use of the Memuseo site and to the purchase of its offers. By paying, you accept them.
1. The service
Memuseo lets you create a virtual 3D museum of your memories (the “museum”), walk through a free preview of it (the first two memories in full), then buy a private link to give it to the person of your choice. One purchase covers one museum. These terms govern the use of the site and the sale of this service by the publisher of Memuseo.
2. The offers
- Essential, €9.99: five memories shown in one gallery, the final room with your surprise, and two characters with the basic settings (name, skin tone, hairstyle, hair color and outfit color).
- Deluxe, €14.99: up to ten memories (a second gallery opens from the sixth), the final room, and every character style option (outfit, trousers color, eye color, beard and mustache, glasses, hat, earrings, neckwear, bag, height and build).
A museum becomes Deluxe as soon as it uses a sixth memory or any of these style options, even with five memories.
Creating a museum and walking through its preview is free, with every option. The free preview shows the first two memories in full; the other memories and the final surprise unlock when you pay. Deluxe options are marked as such in the editor. The price charged is the price of the offer that covers the museum’s content when you pay; it is shown to you before payment. You can remove the Deluxe options to go back to Essential before paying.
Moving to Deluxe after the purchase
A museum bought as Essential can move to Deluxe later, for €5.00: the difference between the two prices. The museum’s link stays the same. Until that move is paid for, the link shows the Essential version of the museum: its first five memories and the basic character settings.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, with no subscription: you pay once per museum, then once for a possible move to Deluxe. The applicable price is the one shown when you order.
Payment is made on Stripe’s secure payment page, by card or with the other payment methods Stripe offers for your device and country. Depending on your country, Stripe may also offer to let you pay in your own currency: the converted amount is then shown before you pay. Memuseo never sees your card details.
4. Delivery
The museum is digital content supplied immediately: as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, the museum’s private link appears, and you also receive it by e-mail with your private editing link. For a move to Deluxe, the Deluxe version opens at once on the same link.
5. Right of withdrawal
In short
Your museum is digital content, delivered as soon as you pay. For this kind of content, the law lets you give up the 14-day withdrawal period: that is what you accept by ticking the box when you pay. In practice, a delivered museum can’t be refunded just because you changed your mind. But you can walk through your museum for free before paying (the preview shows the first two memories in full), and if there is a technical problem, we help you fix it or refund you (see section 6).
Waiver of the right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately when performance has begun with your prior express consent and you have acknowledged that you lose this right. By ticking the box before payment, you ask for your private link to be delivered immediately after payment (or, for a move to Deluxe, for the Deluxe version of your museum to be unlocked immediately on your existing link), and you acknowledge that you then lose your right of withdrawal for this content.
As long as you haven’t paid, nothing has started: you can change or abandon your draft freely. The waiver only takes effect when you pay, with your agreement.
6. A problem, a refund
If your museum doesn’t work as it should, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code). Write to us at contact@memuseo.com: we first try to fix the problem (you can also fix your museum yourself in the editor). If that isn’t possible, we refund you; tell us in your message the e-mail address you paid with and what the problem is.
If a purchase is refunded in full, the museum’s link is disabled and no longer opens. If a move to Deluxe is refunded in full, the museum goes back to its Essential version, on the same link.
7. Editing or deleting your museum
After the purchase, you can keep editing your museum, on the device where you made it or through your private editing link: changes appear on the same link. You can also delete it at any time from the editor; the deletion is immediate and permanent, and the link no longer opens.
8. How long your museum stays online
A purchased museum stays online for 2 years from the purchase, unless you delete it before; it is then deleted with its photos. An unpaid draft that isn’t edited for 30 days is deleted automatically. We do our best to keep museums available, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted access.
9. Content and reports
You are responsible for the content you add to your museum (texts, names, photos). You guarantee that you hold the necessary rights and the agreement of the people who can be recognized in the photos. You keep all rights to your content; you only allow us to store and display it to provide the service.
Illegal, hateful or sexual content is forbidden, in particular: incitement to hatred or violence, harassment or threats, any content involving minors in an inappropriate way, invasion of privacy or of image rights (a photo of someone shared without their agreement), infringement (a photo or text you don’t have the rights to), scams or phishing.
Memuseo does not review content before it goes online. If clearly illegal content, or content that breaks these rules, is reported to us, we may remove it or delete the museum concerned. We tell the person concerned about our decision and why, unless the law forbids it, and they can contest it by writing to contact@memuseo.com.
Reporting content: you can report content you believe is illegal (for example a photo of you published without your agreement), even if you are not a customer, by writing to contact@memuseo.com with: the museum’s link, the content in question, why you think it is illegal, your name and e-mail address (optional for child sexual abuse material), and a sentence confirming that your report is made in good faith. We acknowledge your report, examine it carefully and reply within 7 days at most, sooner if the content seriously harms someone.
10. Complaints and disputes
For any complaint, please write to us first at contact@memuseo.com: we’ll look for an amicable solution with you.
11. Language
These terms are written in French. The translations offered on the site are there to help you read them: if they differ, the French version is the one that prevails.
